Haymon Homes provides a day-to-day structured family environment that promotes assisting each individual served to achieve their highest potential and dreams while providing a safe and happy environment.
We offer residential and day program services. Our services are designed to meet the unique health needs of each individual.
• Our care is custom tailored to the individuals with an interest and willingness to participate in community living. Individuals in our care will benefit from supervised group living with access to an array of community resources.
• Our homes are located to provide easy access to the community and its resources, including natural supports, schools, employment and recreation. Our ability to cater to a small group of people, allows the flexibility to adjust to changes, needs and challenges. We provide an atmosphere of informality, where people may share in appropriate planning and decision-making.
• Supervision and guidance of people is designed to help the individual develop self-worth, self-respect and self-esteem. We will assist people in familiarizing themselves with community resources. We offer opportunities for the individual to develop and reach their fullest potential by being open to the diverse facets of their development.
• Our first responsibility is to provide developmental experiences for people in a setting, which also affords appropriate and adequate food, clothing shelter, safety and access to necessary educational opportunities. An additional responsibility is the support and maintenance of natural supports and values designed to complement the natural support process.
• The type of setting selected for each individual is an individual’s choice and strengths, such as: age, temperament, culture, physical, mental and emotional conditions are considered in the setting choice.
• We provide the necessary elements of physical safety and emotional security and will advocate and protect the rights of the individual.
• Our primary goal is to build stable, trusting relationships. We offer experiences in community living, familiarization with community resources including worship, recreation, and socialization, and community involvement beyond the population served by the setting.
• It is our role to assist the person as they mature toward preparing for transitioning to self-sufficient environments. Individuals will live and work in an environment where they can be supported, respected, and receive guidance and help in setting goals based on their own strengths and needs.
